Francois Sainfort serves the
University of Minnesota as a respected professor in the Division of Health
Policy and Management in the School of Public Health. Francois Sainfort has published more than 145 refereed
publications that have appeared in premiere health care journals. Dr. Francois Sainfort
served as principal investigator on more than $7 million in contracts
and grants. Dr. Francois Sainfort is the
current Director of the Health Systems Research Center. Francois Sainfort received his Engineer Diploma, DEA,
and Doctorate from the prestigious Ecole Centrale in Paris, France. Francois

the years. Dr. Francois
Sainfort is an expert consultant for the health care industry. His clients
include health care delivery organizations, medical devices companies, clinical
laboratories, pharmaceutical companies, and information technology companies.
Francois
Sainfort has been a
immense contributor and was one of the author to publish Journal article “Job and organizational determinants of
nursing home employee commitment, job satisfaction and intent to turnover”.
Through this study, Francois Sainfort wanted to
examine whether job characteristics, the work environment, participation in
quality improvement activities and facility quality improvement environment
predicted employee commitment and job satisfaction in nursing homes, and
whether those same predictors and commitment and satisfaction predicted
turnover intention. After a long hard work Francois Sainfort and other scholars concluded that the
results supported the hypotheses that job and organizational factors predicted
commitment and satisfaction while commitment and satisfaction predicted
turnover intentions. The implications for retaining nursing home employees are
discussed.
Dr. Francois Sainfort has been
past editorial board member for several leading journals, and periodically
reviews manuscripts for many other journals. Francois Sainfort routinely serves on national and
international panels in the United States, Canada and Europe. Federal
Government granted fund to Francois Sainfort for his
research, the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality, also the Health Care
Financing Administration, the National Institute of Aging, the National Library
of Medicine, the Centers for Disease Control, the National Science Foundation,
and the Department of Defense as well as funding from industry was received by Francois Sainfort. Francois Sainfort has served as chair of key
scientific conferences and has served on numerous scientific and organizing
committees for professional societies.
